Since it's purchase in 1640 by Roger Ludlow Wilton has has changed. In our 357 year history (settlers didn't actually arrive until some 15 years later and we weren't Wilton until 1802) we have been Proprietors, farmers, shirt makers, wire manufacturers, artists, commuters and business owners. Most of all we are family.
Although the world has changed we have, for the most part, remained a small New England community. We are just a small New England community with Mercedes, BMWs, 56kbs and more high-tech companies than you could shake a stick at.
We have had our veterans too. From the 223 Wilton/Norwalk men who went off and fought the British to to those who have gone off to fight for our country in wars from The Civil War to Desert Storm.
We are a town of trees (so many infact that Bald Hill looks like a commercial for Rogaine), Blue skies, open spaces and Deer, we do have a few Deer.
